hdc3-a or dd 9500g

im looking at getting one of the 2. i can get the aq shipped for $380.00 brand new. the dd will cost me 200 for the motor plus 187 for a recone plus shipping both ways. so like $447.00 for the dd.

i know the hdc3-A has american spiders and coil which i believe are identical to the ones dd uses.

ill be running around 1600 wrms to the sub untill i upgrade to an aq2200d.

what should i do? any major advantages the dd will have over the aq?

AQ. personally I think the DD is only a benefit when competing.

Not enough power for either, if you're upgrading to the 2200 just go with the copper HDC3.

daily. im only wanting the aluminum because of the spiders. i had the copper and had the spider pack fail running off an aq2200. they pulled out of that plastic ring. heres a pic looks like dd spiders and glued the same too.

The new coppers have a new suspension, similar to the aluminum version.

And I find it impossible that a spider just came out of the plastic ring. Did you play way below tuning? Clipping?

I gave my 15's 2k each for a very long time with no issues.

^ get the coppers if your only sending 2200 rms. Only get the aluminum if you go above 2500 on a daily basis.

i perfer the 3500s for daily.. they do nicely on 2kw.. the 3500 is better than the hdc, the hda spyders are too stiff for any real musicality so are the 9500s.

the 3500 is the same price as the aq.. the aq is made for burps..
