You're not worried about frequencies above 35hz??? A very small amount of music has bass lines that low. With that being said if you want tremendous lowend, look elsewhere. HDC's like higher tuned boxes. I'd look at a BL

The hdcs can infact drop low, but they do so in higher tuned boxes like mentioned.

So what do I tune an enclosure with 2 15" subs, but desiring lower end?

I had one tuned to 32hz and it was too low IMO. I would shoot for mid to upper 30s

i had 2 in 8.5 net tuned to 38 and they got pretty low.

Ya I would say tune it around 36-38. It will get pretty low but still sound good with highs. If you want something that will sound really good at a lower freq than that I would go with a different sub.

If you're gonna run some mad power. Try a couple 15" Audiopulse Axis's if you can find them, tune the box to 29, 30. You'll get some low-end there.
