i know somebody running a brutus 2606 on a sdc12 @ 1 ohm.

SDCs are 4ohm subs, fyi. Are you talking about the guy with the hatchback and the SDC in 4cuft, that competes in MECA? He's running the amp @2ohms, if thats who you're speaking of

What about a tc9 sub and 1000-1200 rmish ? (might get this pa amp that is 1800 rms but dont know if my alt can handle all that)

HDC off an AQ 1200D would be a nice daily set up. Do around 4.5cubes @ 38Hz for a 15" sub.

HDC's will get plenty loud of 1k+ of power, just that if you throw more at them they'll get even louder.
