Be aware that if a show on a hd channel (ex espnhd) is displayed in 4:3 its not hd. If your seeing it in 16:9 its hd.

there is a way to check the resolution of what you are watching

if you cannot change the format with the TV then it is HD

are they worth it? right now i got music hd channel and all the local channels in hd. but no discovery or hbo or any others lol will it be worth paying the difference to add those channels? i have an option of adding discovery and i think like 5 more for like 5.99 a month and/or hbo for liek 12 a month extra

you have HDTV...and HAVENT SEEN DISCOVERY-HD!!!! Gotta get it....wait until you see some underwater sea life shows on coral reefs or sharks...the colors are sooo bright, and images are soo clear its amazing... also my other favorite ones are the shows on

A. Snowboarding wayyy up in the mountains with like 45 deg. slopes...those guys are badass's

B. Shows on polar bears and antarctica....

and those of you that watch ultimate fighting...I dunno why, but all fighting shows in HD are extremely clear for some reason.

and for the INHD or DVDHD..those channels are made to show shows just in HD..like shows are made just for HD.. also they show some IMAX HD's

When i first got my hdtv I was reading this forum. They might be wrong though.
