HD-62 - CDT vs Morel tempo

Which ones sound nicer.. i like smooth not harsh.. anyone ever play with both? looking for reviews the cdts would be a tad cheaper

Both are going to be excellent sounding comps but the HD's are probably still going to have better sq.

i would go with the morel's for the price.

but make sure you add deadener to those doors

you say you wanted more of a smoother tweeter, well morel makes a really nice tweeter, the cdt's to me are kind of harsh, I have the drt 25 which are to bright for my taste.

but know matter which tweeter you use placement & aiming will have the greatest impact.

hrm.. now im lost on the choice.. I have no where i can hear these so please need personal experience.. if you have dealt with atleast one of these can you tell me how you liked them.. power you had to em and anything else you might have had and to compare them please..

I didn't like them.. smooth is not how I would descibe them. i found them to be bitey. efficient at least. they were too much even off HU power...

i have heard both, both are very nice, but for the price id have to go with CDT's

this kinda question always starts an argument becasue everyone has heard them set up diffrently or in a diffrent car.

If you can get a listen to both and try to go from there

Ive ran CDTs for about 4 years, from entry Kama to now the ES lines.

The higher you go the smoother the response is.

Agreed on both. My HD62 set was perfect imo. There is also a setting on the crossover for the tweeter's "Harshness/mellowness"... perhaps the bad experiences with this particular tweeter was because it was not properly tuned.

Also, no one ever said my tweeters were harsh. Everyone was amazed by the highs. I still have the same tweeter, but I have the EF mids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I'm not as ballin as a few years ago I cant afford the HD mids!

So yeah, I never heard the morels, but I would be confident that you would enjoy the CDTs very much.
