no way can u run that 3k watts if u are gonna try to get all 3k watts from it with that stock alt and onyl that one battery it will be tough and serious voltage drops

r u kidding me read the thread before typing.i didnt say i was going to run it full tilt i will probably keep gain all the way down until ho alt gets here

i am running a 130amp alt, big 3 done, gold duralast upfront like 1000cca and 850ca, run of 1/0 power, run of 1/0 ground to the back battery stinger spv70. Running a zx1500 and zx850.4 only using the two channels of it. so roughly 1700rms on the zx1500 and around 400 on the 4 channel amp so yea. I drop to low 12's at idle with certain songs that have long bass notes like paul wall- you dont know. On other songs i hang around the high 12 mark at idle right around 12.8-13.2

well if i dont buy it which i prolly wont i will buy the alt next week and get two deka 9a31's i think they will work on 3krms

Get an HO alt. You can do it, but your teasing the amp with the electric. It's like getting the girl drunk with no panties, not cool. But serious get an HO, I have a 200a with my system (check sig) and stay floating around 12.5 on about full tilt. It's an invest well made.
