I've tested both with that much power..

HC is not shy on output, easy to reach its limits and potential with that much power.

XXX will laugh at you all day long with 900wrms. Give that puppy 2kw+ and boy it sings!

Which is louder? you would think the XXX, but it would need little more power to really make it move.

Well, the XXX is gonna be able to manage a good 3-4dB more linear output than an HC of the same size, and is going to have only a few percent distortion when the HC hits the 10% mark.

I'd definitely get the XXX with that power, no doubt about it. I'd go with about 3cf tuned to about 32hz.

Be careful below around 25hz, as you'll be able to bottom the driver below that if you aren't careful.
