having trouble with "noise" in the song

i got a new h.u love it, at first everything was fine but it wasnt hittin as loud as it did before. so i messed w it and now it is hittin like it was but there is a ton of noise from the track being blasted thru the sub, so i put a 10 or 8v (forgot which) line driver back on it and it isnt helping. can anyone help? i want it to sound clean but still loud.
