Having trouble with a kx300.4

OK well the problem is this. When powered on the amp goes into protection mode yet the power light flashes on every 2-3 seconds making a nice pop sound from the speakers, kinda like plugging a guitar into a turned on amp. Anyways I checked the fuses and their all fine.

Now I think I know why this happened. I turned up the gain on my kx600.1 and on a huge bass hit they kit out, came back on and 3 seconds later same thing but now nothing comes from the 4 channel amp. So the idea my friend and I came up with is that the subs drew so much power that the 4-channel barely got power. We read that the kx300.4 can run into some real problems if it doesn't get the power it needs. And no I don't have a cap, I was told by a bunch of people not to waste the $...

So anyways there's the problem, unfortunantly though I know how to install everything, I am a moron once you get the amp opened up.
