ya i seen that diagram on here but it only hooks up to one channel which is why its confusing me, don't i want to hook each sub up to its own channel on my amp?

If you have single voice coil subs then the only way to run them at 4ohms is to just run each sub to each channel and not bridge them. You could run them at 8ohms bridged but you wont see any increased output.

ya guys my amp is stable at 4 ohms, so how exactly would i bridge it ? my subs are dual vc would i wire it like the diagram and then just wire the channels together ?

What kind of amp and model do you have?

Bridging an amp mean you are "connecting" the right and left channels together to form one high output channel. To do this you would use the negative terminal on the left channel and the Positive terminal on the right. Those two will connect to your subs like in the diagram I posted. I'll look for a pic for ya.....brb

could not find a clear easy diagram so I just edited the first one. Hope this helps.

Oh, and be sure to check that your amp can be bridged before you try it.

what i ended up doing was wiring each speaker to 2 ohms, i looked at one of those rockford diagrams and did each sub individually instead of wiring them together like the ones for (2) subs, i used "(1) 4 ohm dvc speaker wired to 2 ohms" and now each sub goes to its own channel.

is this ok ?

Your amp might not be able to handle a 2ohm load. Most 2 channel amps can only run 4 ohms. Check the owners manual and see. You could toast your amp if it is not rated for 2 ohms You will get more power if you wire it the way the diagram has it but its all up to you.
