Having trouble designing a box....

Ok, what's the best way of going about figuring out dimensions of a box I want to build? It's becoming a headache and it should be way simpler than I'm making it. I'm trying to get an exact cu ft of air space with a specific angle on one side of the box with a specific width and height. The variables I'm having trouble with is figuring the depth.

What software do y'all use in designing?
