Havin trouble......

Im really pretty new at this whole amp thing...the 1 that got stolen was my first and i had it installed, and when i got my car back it sounded good and i never went & messed with any settings so..... i dont know a whole lot

Oh **** that is a tool (it looks like something i wouldnt understand to much)

Is it not safe to mess with gain ?

You need a DMM and a test tone to do it properly (or o-scope but we wont go there now)

Uh maybe you should go to a shop and have them do it or do it by ear. Only do it by ear if you know what you are doing as to not clip the signal.

and look at other stickys and use the search function to learn, you'll see it isn't that difficult to have a good sounding system, installed yourself and setup yourself. Very rewarding.

1st ive had to turn my Sensitivity knob up to 75% (is that bad ? ) to get the levels of door speakers to match the sub (but i want the sub to kinda overpower the door speakers)just a lil more.So i think i would only need to turn the gain up a max of 10db.

well im thinkin I might turn the lows way down ( -4 lets say )on my HU and maybe fade to my 6x9 in the back a lil before i go messin with the gain...

or maybe ill go get a better HU lol

Oh and that post link ...well i dont think my speaker is bridged , its a 2 channel amp but it has mono capabilities with an easy to see chart to show you were to put the wires if you only run 1 speaker
