Ok ... my HU is the Pioneer DEH2700 . I just hooked up an amp and a sub to the RCA outputs of my HU...everything is working but, i want to turn down the Lows on my door speakers & when i do it turns down the Lows to my sub :p. Someone told me there may be a way to do it in my audio settings on my HU but Ive read through my manual and there is no refrence to this( I think ) Does anyone know what that selection in my HU would be called???

#2

I know i can install some of those lil things (Low Blockers ) on the wire right next to my speakers but that would be a pain since my doors are really hard to take off...It would be real cool if there is a way to do this in the settings of my HU, but if not can i put (low Blockers) right next to my HU on the speaker wires???

Ive turned my Sensitivity setting on my amp up quite a bit , 3/4 of the way. Just to be able to hear the sub. I havent messed with the Bass boost( db gain) on my amp ( someone told me i shouldnt use the Db Gain )

Any help is very appreciated Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Well its a Powere Accoustic LT 480-2 ( amp ) and ive got an MTX box and an Infinity 1030w (10' sub)

and thank you for taking the time to help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1. Look for a section in the HU manual that mentions Low Pass Filters/High Pass Filters or LPF/HPF. Try setting the HPF to 120hz, this should cut 80% of the bass from hitting your speakers. And set your LPF to Flat (which sucks on my HU), see how you like it, then try 80hz, that's what I have mine set to. If you don't have these then you'll need to turn your HU bass down and adjust the LPF on the AMP.

2. You don't need Bass blockers if you have LPF/HPF. Otherwise turning down the bass on the HU should be the same thing.

3. As long as you don't set the gain or bass boost anywhere close to max you'll be fine. Play with them, everyones taste and setup are different.

It's going to take a little time getting the bass just the way you want it. I've only been running my setup for a few weeks and I'm still tweaking it. Good luck!

I'll try to help ya in a minute. Gotta go have some ***. And I do mean in a minute //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol amedeuce

Doesnt seem to be any refrence to HPF or LPF in my HU manual gnet

Ive got factory speakers in my hyundai doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

See i got robbed last week and well It really sucks (depressing) im even catching a cold. lol

but i use to have a 5 channel amp that push 50 to the doors and 100 to the 10' , the factory speakers always held up pretty good for some factory speakers.

Im going to mount a Bracket to my Box, strip the screws, and use a good bike chain to secure it to my Frame .....Hehe that will trip them out if they try again lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow i just saw your post just now, ive been refreshing and it just showed up

oh this time is off from mine a lil

well first off, set your gains properly. With a DMM (digital multimeter) See the gain setting tutorial, It's a sticky at the top of the amp section. Then if you are not going to upgrade door speakers or amp them again, you can tweak the head unit to get it to sound right and use the fade option.

11:12 - 11:36 ***. WOW that was a super quicky, and that's from post to post not actual *** or 4 play. well I'm married so no 4 play, just the down and dirty sometimes.

hmm guess i dont know much about the fade option (thought that was like front to back balance) im gonna stay with the factory doors for now ,but plan to upgrade them and amp them ...someday

So is it Ok to turn up the gain a lil on my amp?? cause that would prolly help...

as for my LPF on my amp its real hard to tell where your at as far as frequencies( its a dial that shows 30db on 1 side and 500db on the other :p

i havent messed with the gain at all (its turned to 0db )

when you say without a DMM ...is that something i have to buy ,or is that just something i need to go read ?

thanks so much for your help

As for LPF, set that between 50-80. Which if yours starts at 30 just turn it up a little while playing a song or type of music you are familiar with and often play.
