Have 2 15" SEs, too much space...

As the title says, I currently am running 2 15" RE SE's with 1200 watts split between them. I am very happy with the SQ of these subs, but am unhappy with the amount of space they take up (custom fiberglass box, around 8 cft).

So I'm thinking of downgrading the size of my subs (still want to run 2 subs), considering the RL-p's which seem to be fairly popular lately. I'm looking for very similar results that I am getting from my SE's (SQ and loudness)... Am I looking in the right direction?

Gonna be touch to get two 12s louder or as loud as 2 15 se's.
