Hatchback vs trunk vs suv performance

I recently heard my friends two 12inch kicker cvx's in the back of a 05 mustang with dynamite on the trunk lid. Lets just say i was not impressed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I felt like the sub stage was suffering greatly from being in a trunk. Seats down or up. Granted the box was sealed, didnt have enough area, and was shitty. Its besides the point.

So it got me thinking. I was originally looking at suv's but i'd rather not have to worry about gas. So the next best thing is a hatchback. Finding a hatchback that isnt a *** mobile is a little challenging but possible.

I'm looking at 240sx hatchbacks. Endless mods and support for the car and they dont look to bad. RWD too. There dirt cheap if there stock to. (I can live with driving it stock for awhile. I just have to have good bass:cool:)

So back to my original question. How do these different types of vehicles compare when it comes to their sub stage.

Wow, only someone from Florida would someone let their "bass" dictate which vehicle they were going to purchase.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

a hatch will be the loudest and easiest to get loud

I had two Audiomobile Mass subs in the back of a scion tc and it SLAMMMEDQ@#!@#!@!#@$

The same subs and amp are in my g35 sedan(trunk) and its loud but not as loud as it was in the tc

SUV are good if you plan a big build or have a family and such

Is there anything wrong with this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif And its only narrowing the choices.

I agree I had ONE 10 inch sub sealed in my hatch civic and it got pretty good sound from such a small box.
