if you can find a good deal on a DD 1512 ...used they can be had for your budget....they won't let you down...these are American made quality subs and can take 800rms daily with ease ...i've given them as much as 1800rms in competitions without blowing them

My friend has rockford p2's in a vented enclosure, and they rattle glass bottles in his front seat.

The dcon's would be louder than that right? Alot of people on here say that rockfords aren't great subs.

SA 12s, LVL3s (if you get direct price), SDC 2.5s, Hype Rs, SS t5s

any one of these in an adequate box and say 600-800rms will likely be as loud or louder then the p2s

The thing is I can get 2 p2's for $150, and you're saying that they'll be almost as loud as 2 sa-12's ($200 ea). ( no doubt the sa-12's sound alot better), but i don't think it's worth $200 per sub. Why are the p2's not a good choice overall? Especially for the price.

No they will not be louder then sa 12s...not even close. I would rather have 2 dcon 12s then p2s anyday...and for 130 each sub is a fair price
