hard hiting?

Hard hitting subs, 10"s or 12"s. I want to get two + a box. i looked at a couple MTX and Kicker. help?

You need to narrow down your tastes a little, and give us a price range. Just simply asking for a hard hitting sub is way to general.

unless you get something from the $.99 bin, anything is gonna be "hard hitting."

If you want just SPL, look for a vented enclosure, get the largest subs you can fit, and power the hell out of them.

Your question is a little too broad, You have to remembers there's literately a couple thousand subs on the market.

MTX's are good, i have a set of thunder 5500's mine are in a sealed box and they're still good, you can find a pair on ebay for around 200-250.

You'd probably like what I just bought and DONT care for. ROckford Fosgate Punch HX2's. They're incredibly hard hitting and bassy...but you gotta have the power. I just bought a pair of 12" in a sealed enclosure. REally deep bass and with the right power...punchy. I dont quite have the power needed to drive 2 of them and am trying to decide if I want to reinvest in an upgraded amp.

If you were in Minnesota I'd say come pick them up. But your not. But look for some online. I bet you'd like them.

port those puppies! 2 cubes per sub ported worked out nicely when i had those.

I dont know if I want to screw with it. I'm gonna try hooking just 1 up. I was messing with the dvc's last night and see that they ARE both sealed in the enclosure. POrted gets louder but it doesnt get any tighter..and these already are just too bassy for me. I think i might need 10's.
