Yes, I'm well aware of the brands and bandwagons (I have been here for a long time). However, the "hifonics" band wagon is just well I won't get into that.

I suggest to go were the better product is. With his limited budget and power options, if he buys new. He is better off with AQ.

Can I just throw out the JBL bp1200.1 on the table, since I just picked one up. Amazing little amp and can usually be found for less then 200. Running just under 1400 @ 1-2 ohms. Very under rated amp and even though it's a bit old.. it still competes very well against today's amps. Think the msrp was around 700 when it was new years ago. The Kicker zx750.1 can be had for under $200. They are pretty underrated as well.

I'm with rabbit. For overall quality and reliability AQ above all else listed.

The Quart's and Hifonic's are both good budget amps and will get the job done just fine.

The AQ amp is just that much better. Both in quality and power.

If you dont mind the extra $$ then go with the AQ.
