half fiberglass/half mdf

Jigga what?
has anyone here ever made a where there was two sides of mdf and then the rest was closed off with fiberglass. what i am planning to do is first make the fiberglass so it fits very nicely in the wheel wells. then i plan to trim the top so its even and one of the sides so basically both trimmed sides are perpendicular. then two pieces of mdf would go on those two sides an be trimmed so that it would line up with the fiberglass. therefore, when the project is complete, when you look in the trunk you see two flat pieces both perpendicular to eachother and no fiberglass since thats on the underside. i wish i could find a pic of this since its pretty hard to explain. maybe ill draw a pic with mspaint.

just tell me what you think so far...

here is a rough sketch

I did something like your thinking about, it worked great. MDF sides and front with a formed fiberglass back. I built the sides of the box, glassed the back, and then installed the front.

yea. if my site was up id show you, but it works fine.

make the rear mould first. then make the front and just connect them with glass and resin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
