yea, i know exactly what you mean i feel the same way. now, don't get me wrong the wii can be fun, but it's too kidie most of the time for me. But i mean I DO own one so I don't discriminate. Gave 'em all a chance

I am not a BIG gamer anymore and really only like the multiplay atmosphere of the Wii. When people are over it gives us something to do that isn't intense. If I was a big gamer, this certainly wouldn't be my only console and my PC would be updated. It is gimmicky and kiddy oriented or multi play oriented, but that is Nintendos shtick. Its a family console. I also love tinkering with shit and love it when you can open them up through software and not have to take em apart an chip them. Getting it to do it is more fun than actually using what I get it to do.

yea, not a BIG gamer either, although I love RPGS so i tend to play those but not much else and that's not that often either. sucks having to work for what you want, don't have much time left.

I avoid MMORPGs at all costs now. I get addicted to them way to easy. I used to get up 2-3 times(with my alram being set) a night to send out coordinated timed attacks on tribalwars.net and that is a free basic mmorpg. It was pathetic.

oh yeah some of the kiddie games are a lot of fun. i had a wii and it was fun playing carnival games and mario party but it needs to have some more depth in the games like metroid and zelda do. i sold mine because i just never used it. i use my modded xbox for emulators, gotta love the 4 player xmen arcade and simpsons arcade games lol.

Gamecube backup hacks exist for the Wii and use the GC controllers. Many of the roms also use the GC controllers.

I can run an emulator for nearly any platform you want beyond this gen and some last gens.
