h/u xover vs. amp xvoer...which to use?

just need advice on which xover to use, head unit or amp crossover? Will be running a basic comp set using passives that come with it. Should I set my h/u to "through/full pass" and use the amps xover or set my amp to full pass and use the h/u over? or is it all preference such as just being easier to control the sound using the h/u xover vs. having to go tune it back at the amp?

they're both active crossovers but SOP is to set the h/u to through/full pass and use the crossover on the amplifier..

Who's SOP is that?

Try both since they may use different slopes. Just make sure the one not in use is opened up
