H/U wiring

Just a double check before I plug it in and make a fool of myself and fry my friends car...

In the wiring harness I have there's no wire marked for the ignition. This also might have something to do with the fact that the ignition runs indepedantly from the deck.. it runs directly off an amp under the seat. Im bypassing that amp and taking it out all together. Will I have to run the ignition wire from the deck straight to the wire that goes into the amp? Or is there a place to connect it into a wiring harness that would suffice?

I'm not sure what you refer to as "ignition". There is no ignition wire on a HU.

The 2 power wires you'll get are switched power (which should be hot either in run or accessory mode), and constant power which should be on all the time. The common place to get switched power is (duh) the factory radio power. Or else use a voltmeter to find a place on the fuseblock that's fused with 10-15 amps. Constant power for the HU memory and clock you can get from the cig lighter circuit. Use a 1 amp inline fuse for that.
