Thats not a stock case....LOL its like twice the size of my cars stock alternator and my cars stock pulley was vbelt

Yeah everyone dogs on the washers. But I used them for a reason. Why the hell would anyone want to look under the hood of a 250,000 + mile car that has seen continuous salty winters. I sure wouldn't. Plus my friend made me the little steel plates for free. So installing that cost basically nothing.

But no worries. People can say what they want. Everyone's got opinions.

Yes it is a stock case, just not for your vehicle.

My alt is for a yukon/suburban 99-04

I don't see how it is a stock case...our 94 suburban has an alternator that is the size of my fist...doesn't sound stock to me

That is odd. Because on a 5k pull I only lose 1 volt. So its putting rated power

Is that the difference? Is that why a 270 from DC cost $650ish and mine cost $524...because I will happily keep the stock case then...why would I care to have a custom case when mine runs just fine and its running fine for others too.

What's odd? It's a stock case, but rebuilt guts to put out whatever it was rated for when you bought it. It is a stock case though.

I like that the alt looks plain and simple. No one in there right mind is going to say...woah check out that old jetta with like 250,000 miles on her and its beasty as5 1.8l...I gotta see that thing under the hood.

Both. As soon as my tax refund hits, money is en route to get the Iraggi. I will keep the EA for later.

good idea. How did jumping your car kill the alternator? Did it over work it and it got hot?
