H/o alt not an option. Alternatives?

lol its not so much bein cheap, id be more then enthusiastic to drop what i need to, to get the sound i want. its just being smart about it. tis why im here askin way to many questions, trying to learn somthing

Running a 3k watt amp, get a 200 amp Alt and 2 powermaster 2400's and do your Big 3

You can find used batterys at a good deal here usually if you need cheaper

more batts would be an option, but i thought you had to have a pretty big alt to keep them full?
how many would set me over to where id need to upgrade the alt?

if u have moar stuff than ur stock alt can push, all u will do is burn out the alternator. would prob be best to get a HO alt from excessive Amperage, Motor City Reman or an Iraggi alt. then you will be good for some batts.

go to the dealer, you can get a battery holder for a diesel truck, pretty sure

I'm not sure if Iraggi still has his policy but he use to have a exchange program where if you car broke down or you just got a new car you could take the alternator off and send it back to him. In return he would send you a HO Alt for whatever new car you have. I'm not sure if it's a free exchange or if you have to pay a fee but that's just a little idea since you seem to be worried about buying it and having something happen to the truck.

sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. i wonder if Excessive Amperage does that? i need to get rid of my Honda alt that was never installed.

what about a higher voltage battery?

if i wanted my system to run on 16v do i just get a batt that puts that out?

kinetik batteries run @ 16v.

would it be best to run 2 batteries under the hood? or just have 1 under the hood, and run the other one to the back?
