GUN Enthusiasts, Come!!

76-10-509.9. Sales of firearms to juveniles.

(1) A person may not sell any firearm to a minor under 18 years of age unless the minor is accompanied by a parent or guardian. (2) Any person who violates this section is guilty of a third degree felony.

as long as your parents are with ya anyone can sell you a gun even if your 5yo

And I live in Utah everyone hear has a f*cking gun.
if you are near Ogden.....go to Impact Firearms. They have rental guns and also indoor handgun and rifle ranges. They are extremely knowledgable and will be able to help you with your selection. Of course, you'll need your dad or someone to go with you

If you're looking for something to be used as home protection, I wouldn't recommend any kind of high powered rifle. Over penetration issues are something you'll have to think of in a residential neighborhood.

The only real way to shop for a handgun is to go check them out in person, see how you like the feel of it.It also really helps if you can shoot a few first to get an idea of what you're looking for.

For under $200 you might find a decent used shotgun. I doubt you will find a decent revolver or auto pistol for that price.

Spend another $100-$300 and you can get a much larger choice of guns, new and used.

You should seriously consider an inexpensive caliber like 9mm, for pistol or 7.65mm for commie, SKS/AK type guns. Ammo has gotten stupid expensive in the last few years, and you will need alot for training and practice.

An SKS would make an excellent start to your collection.

SKS's are fun but like it was stated earlier for HP duty something that wont go into the house next to you and into the little kid sleeping is best. I have a shotty upstairs and one downstairs. and a little girl gun(.25) in my drawer next to my bed.

I'm wanting to buy my first gun. Not looking to dump a whole bunch of money into it however I do not know how much guns cost.. So I'll go with "budget"
I'm looking for a small rifle. However, not .22 I mostly want it just for shooting and protection.

Also if anyone knows any good gun forums please link me.
