I'm wanting to buy my first gun. Not looking to dump a whole bunch of money into it however I do not know how much guns cost.. So I'll go with "budget"

I'm looking for a small rifle. However, not .22 I mostly want it just for shooting and protection.

Affordable

Reliable

If you want a firearm for protection, why a rifle?

I would reccomend a 12guage. Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870.

You can put all kinds of fun stuff on those...I use mine for hunting, turkey shoots, and I have different chokes so I can fire slugs and magnums through it. Very versatile gun.

you can be under 21 and own a hand gun, you just can not buy one from a dealer but can from a average joe as long as youre legaly able to have one mental and trouble wise

say your grandpa dad or a good friend has a pistol and they want to "give it " they can and nothing is illegal with it, or say you live in florida and i was selling one of my 9mm. and you wanted it, had cash in your hand, i wright up a bill of sale for my pistol verify youre over 18 and hand you the gun with bill of sale and i go about my day with it being within the law

you can.. but if you do something retarded with the weapon then your dad will be seen as a "straw man" and not only will you be in shit but your dad too for buying the gun just to give it to you.

now if he bought one from a private person with no paper trail then there wouldnt be anything to worrie about
