Guitar won't sync maybe?

Bought guitar hero world tour for ps3 but cant get this shit working,i think i synced it correctly but it will conrtol everything in the ps3 menu but it wont let me start playing the game,help a nikker out.the only button that seems to work in the game menu is the ps button but that just takes me to the ps3 menu that says do you want to turn off game etc.
