His death was sheer stupidity, unfortunately. I say this all the time and some agree, some don't: Randy Rhoads was really good because he paid the attention necessary to classical guitar and music. When you listen to a lot of current guitarists, you can hear the lack of diversity in their skills and sound because they've been listening to death metal for 10 years and nothing else. To truly appreciate music, I think you need to be well versed in all aspects of it.stu Hamm for sure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Neil. I agree dude. Same goes for Randy, he grow up into music because his mom was a music teacher and he was just brought up with school. Even when he was on tour he would still take music lessons. He was a gift for sure, to bad we'll never see his true work because he died at such a young age.
check ahead...Billy Gibbons and Carlos Santana have yet to be mentioned...
Billy Gibbons
Yes he was very much influenced by classical music. I liked him better than Zakk, actually much better than Zakk. Just listen to the solo to Mr. Crowley, or at least watch it on youtube or something. God that solo is insane. His death was sheer stupidity, unfortunately.
