Well I pulled one out yesterday and it seems that its just a broken tinsel.... Solder that bad boy and it looks like you would have a workin sub. Id still suggest a recone because the coil looks a little darker than it should, but it should work temporarily until you can get the recone.

A local kid wants 2, and some people online want 2, but they are always for sale. First person to get me money has dibs.

I'd look into SSD's... HELL of a woofer that gets LOUD with not much power.

Hell, I had 400-500watts to each of my 6 10's... and pulled a 151.7 @36hz with one door open.

The SSD's do well sealed, and don't NEED a lot of power... but can easily take near 1000 each if you want them to.

I'd look into SSD's with 600watts a piece...

That is what I would do, but I know 2 guys with setups like that.... One has 16 12" SSDs and the other has 24 12" SSDs.

Stupid question but which sounds better (24) 12" or the setup you had because sometimes more don't mean you going to sound better. Trust me, I learned through experiences of my own?

And Tommy Mckinney and Jethro Eason already did 24 12" RE SEs, Pipo already did 16 12" SoundStream T5s, Johnny did 16 12" SSDs, another guy I know Tommy is doing 12 15" SSDs, my buddy Eric did 12 15" CVRs, Neil Barber has 24 10L7s etc.
