Thats why high end equipment isn't made for everyone. I guess the person who installed it didn't warn him about the downfalls of not having any alternators to back up the batteries.

haha, like i said he GUESSED he could do 155-156 db sealed up on the TL. and IIRC i said i hate the word guess.

you either did or you didnt. did he seal it up and burp it? no...so its a guess.

Im actually 90% sure the subs arent blown... They never got the the point of smelling like they were blown, locking up, or even scratching. Probably just broken tinsels which isnt that big of a deal.

The woofers just didnt like the power in the enclosure I had em in. It doesnt help thats I beat my stuff up. Its not my fault I like to listen to music for more than a minute and a half at a time.

As for the score, I never got a good reading all charged up in good weather with a song that was at my peak, so my numbers dont even really count. At a local show they were metering with an AC. EVERYONE at the show was a consistent 3-3.5db down from their score on the TL. I mean EVERYONE. With 2 subs in their, it did a 152.8 legal on the AC.

Well the subs are for sale, probably just need tinsels resoldered, but Im selling for like $230 + shipping a sub. I just about got enough money for my new system. Not decided on what its going to be, but im going a completely different route. You can flame and say I didnt earn it, but Ive been working 50+ hour weeks at $8/hr at my new job to make more money. So if you wanna believe my parents paid for it, be my guest. No skin off my ***.

Im sure you can tell the sarcasm in that statement, but theres also some honesty. If I had room, you know Id have another in there.

What Ive learned is that for someone who beats the crap out of their system, 4,000rms a woofer is not a good idea. It would be fine for bassrace and short demos, but not in an everyday car with the way I listen to my music.

You can flame me, you can take my word, you can really do whatever... Its no big deal. It is just the internet and this is just ca.com.

I'm not here to argue w/ any of you. I just think that it wasnt fair to flame him because that isn't something you can do on this website and be just about it. Once one person says something bout someone or their equipt.... Johnnynobody sees it and starts spreading it. 85% of this sites users know less then my gf when it comes to CA, they should be flamed, not someone who worked his a55 off to get the equipt. and have a system and knowledge like he does at his age.

Apparently you are here to argue.

This site has MINIMUM 5-10times as many users *** most other car audio sites... therefore sometimes you get more bullshit.

Other site may have a higher concentration of actual knowledgeable people, but we have just as many total.

Like I said, not here to argue, just wanted to say that these comments of certain members on this site are not just. Would you have flamed if it were some kid blowing 8 10" kicker comps? I'm not sure but I thought this place was here to help, not demoralize and put down? But again, what do i know... I'm just a CA.com member
