Well I just got a new comp with Vista on it and I can't get San Andreas to work. The game plays fine but I can't save anything. It says there is some kind of error in the save game file or something like that.

Anyone know how to fix it? I have my saved game from when I had XP and I'd like to play that instead of starting all over.

Maybe it's trying to save the game in a non-existent folder? Find that file path and change it to one that works.
I think that is what the problem is. I just don't know where its trying to save or how to change it.

how do i do that
do a right click on the gta game w/e it's called.exe and then choose properties and then click on compatability in that box it brings up and click on Run this program in compatibility for, then choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2) then click Apply, then OK, this also works for programs that don't work on vista i found out.

then make a new folder to where it should save the game.

How do I change where it should save it in the game? I can't find anything that deals with that. I tried the compatibility thing too and that didn't do anything.
