THIS is very true.........but i've had-used several kicker amps and never ran a 2nd battery. each his own though and if you get a signifigant voltage drop then a 2nd one is in order i guess. kicker has never told me i needed another battery before though, not even when i was running a bd1000 and kicker 650.4 did i use another battery, a 75 farad cap did enough for voltage. not trying to argue or anything. i'd get a kinetik only because they have a very small footprint and are reasonably priced.
here's my drops with big 3 and g34 Exide up front. before the HO alt and G31

Why do you need a 2nd battery dedicated just to a kicker 2500? with the big 3, 0 guage wiring, and "maybe" an upgrated front battery....i wouldn't think you'd even need a 2nd battery. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imo.gif.3a57bcc70a4835dc53e86ffae1a0b041.gif
The current draw on 2500 watts (underrated, so probably around 2750) is quite large, and a beefier electrical system never hurt anything, so I would say he should go for it.

capacitors are useless, this has been stated tons of times in this forum

yes kicker said it was highly recommended you do realize that the 2500.1 d amp is capable of putting out 3000 watts right? and you need power to get power.

yep. he's thinking smaller, low power setups. and he's right for that, minus the cap.

but over 1kw then you need to look at charging and electrical.
