From the pic it looks like they would reach no prob... you may even have enough hieght to stand them upright?

I would use a regular 3/8" nut... I would be affraid the wing nut would come loose. Just make sure your ring terminal for your amps is the first connection on the lead pad of the terminal.

Seeing that you know batteries pretty well...Do you see any advantages to using these over a bank of modded 2400 kenetiks ran at 12v?

Yes... 4 G31 Optima's will be louder and much cheaper (even at retail) than 4 2400's.

1 to 1 the Optima has been at least .5db (.8 to 1db in most cases) ahead of the 2400 in every test I've done/seen.
