Depends on how they are cared for... kept in a fairly cool environment (not right on top of a super hot engine) and charged properly (not overcharged) and kept at a decent state of charge these can last upwards of 10 years. Proplem is, most people dont care for their batts like they should... even if you dont take great care of them these still usually last 4-5yrs.
