my system wiring is batt > cap (for show and dvm) > distros > amp

question: is there any difference if i ground my amps separate from the cap? or would there be any advantage? or will it not work?

I don't see why it would matter either way as long as they're both good grounds that are bare metal.

You can ground you amps in separate places. In fact, it's better to ground them straight to the chassis rather than through the cap.

Are you asking if some grounds are better than others? If so, then its subjective. Some people think its better to ground straight to the frame and others think its best to run a ground back to the battery. I've always done chassis grounds and have never had a problem. The best ground is the one with least resistence.
