I seem to have a grounding issue. With the engine on or off, I'm getting noise over my fronts only when I connect my sub amp. I have no noise when only the front amp is wired.
I have a kicker dist block taking 2 4 AWG from the amps to a 0 AWG grounded with a Streetwire grounding block. I sanded the grounding area with a dremel and it is located in the wheel well centered behind the seats.
My thoughts on fixing the grounding issue was to bypass the dist block and ground the amps seperately with their 4 AWG. I was going to buy another grounding block and place them on opposite sides of the trunk.
Do you think this will most likely solve the issue? Or are their other things I can try first?
Thanks.
