grounding block

I ground amps straight to batteries and then have main ground under my hood. Everyone does different shlt. Do whatever works for you. I see ppl ground it to there rusty frame.after they clean it up alittle Which is fine for alittle while but if u live where they salt the road in winter I can guarantee 1yrs that ground will be so corroded an nasty. That's y I ground under my good to try n stop the weather n salt from corroding grounds.

I remember reading on (termlab?) That you shouldn't ground more than one amp on a single grounding point because you could get something called ground modulation. What then is the point of grounding blocks?
I've heard of ground modulation, but it's something I've never experienced. I use a ground distribution block in my vehicle with a chassis ground, and a parallel ground connection from that chassis ground up to the battery's chassis ground under the hood. I didn't have the parallel ground path when I had the most equipment in the trunk, which was 3 amplifiers, a 5 farad hybrid capacitor and MS-8, but I was using a ground distribution block. That was 3 different brands of amplifiers with a mix of Class AB and Class D full range and Class D subwoofer power. No ground modulation.
