What is the best way to test for a perfect ground point under your hood?

I am doing the big 3, and can't seem to find any decent ground points. Same with my trunk... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You want the least resistance between points coming from main grounds. But under hood (I assume battery to X-point) will want one to the frame (if it has a frame), one to motor (if you are really anal an like to go overboard do 1 to alt 1 to block 1 to starter all of same gauge) and one to body metal (usually on firewall). Make sure ground point is clean metal and attached well. Then protect from corrosion. For amp grounds test with Ohm meter to find point with no resistance to battery. You might be surprised how much resistance you can find trying to find a good ground. You can never have to many grounds hooked up. Just make sure they can all handle any load you might be asking.

If I am doing a serious install I like to have 1 power and 1 ground point for the whole system as it greatly reduces the chance of getting induced noise from a ground loop. This requires a bit of extra wire and more time and a relay for the turn on from the Acc to the radio but worth it to me.
