Ground to battery?

I am about to start the install on my new car and I am looking for a good place to ground the system. My battery is located in the trunk (factory) should I ground to the battery? Should I ground to the spot where the battery grounds to the chassis?

Yea just ground to the battery. I'd also thicken up that battery ground wire if you haven't already.

Get the Kicker amp install kit for $80...not that bad $$$ wise and excellent wire to work with.

Don't ground to the battery itself. You can ground to the same location of the battery given it's a good clean connection. Otherwise make your own chassis ground as close to the install as possible.
