Ground problem

So im driving around yesterday and my subsstop beating. by the time I get to the next stop stign, they come back on, then when i take off they stop again. Instantly thought a wire was loose.

Goto a friends house, pull the box out, look at the amp and my ground wire is only connected by a few strings. My terminal in my amp looks discusting, its so burnt. Also under my hood, the fuse in my power wire has overheated and melted to the point i cant get it out lol.

Time for a new wiring kit yes? Anyway to save this amp? I know it still powers on and 90% sure it will work, but something needs to be done to the terminal, any ideas?

Did the fuses on the amp blow? The reason it shut off was because it went into protection....lucky you. Amp sounds like it should be fine. Installer error. Ground that bad boy right down to the bare metal!!!

It was grounded to baremetal in my trunk. I think its time to lose the walmart wiring though eh? :p

and fuses on the amp are fine. but the ground terminal on the amp is ****eeeeed up looking lol

just make sure your ground cable is at least as big as your power wire.. and secure it solid to bare metal.. make sure you remove any paint there might be.

kicker wiring is by far my fav... fav fuseholders and such too, the stuff is just awesome! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I second that.

well the fuse holders, have not used there wires so I can say anything about it

All my fuse holders are kicker and they are well made.
