what happens if i ground my two amps each at a dif point?

If whatever you ground it to is part of, or directly connected to the chassis, and is free of grease/oil/rust etc. -- nothing at all.

A ground loop is possible...but go ahead and ground them differently and if some wierd stuff happens try grounding them to the same spot.
