ive seen similar a few times before but usually after careful inspection it was from install error like maybe some of the strand from the neg were frayed and touching the positive with no fusing etc..... i dont think that amp would have done that on its own. i have seen some of the older ppi pc series and crossfires literally go up in flames they quickly died out and didnt to a ton of damage.
