Grinding transmission ftl :(

I'm not quite too sure which it could be. I'm gonna try syncromesh fluid tomorrow and see if that will help. I heard it if isn't too bad of a grind which it isn't that it may fix the problem.

syncro gears goin out. dont shft at high rmp let her wind down before u shift and it wont crunch when it goes into gear. ***** will probabl last another 50,000 if u drive easy on it. what kind of car?

Ugh Honda has some notorious ****** problems. Driving my friend's 1st gen s2000 it would always have problems shifting hard/quick into second gear, which seems so dumb because its such an easy shift. Found out later that they have grinding problems from 1 to 2. Same with my friends rather new Civic Si except from gears 2 to 3. Felt bad cause I hit VTEC, took it to redline, and tried shifting into third and bounced it off the limiter for a bit. Neighbors weren't too happy bout that one either. =X I think you just have to know their faults and unfortunately take it easy going into those specific gears.

Alright well I missed your suggestion casper97ta. Today though I changed my filter and put in GM Sycnhromesh that was friction modified. I read about it online and people said it was the best stuff out there.

Today I went to the dealership because it is the only place to get it. 13 dollars a quart I was hoping it would do the job.

I put it in this morning and just drove smooth and slowly to let the new fluid flow and broke it in for about 50 miles. After I let it all flow through I tested it out and no more grinds!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If anyone has a small little grind I'd try this stuff. It's semi synthetic and worth the money.

dont shift. Hondas with system have at least 150000 deeebeeez which equals 250 horsepower per cubic inch meaning your car has at least 1000 horsepower.

Stay in first the entire time ftw!

I need to put a system in then huh? I haven't set one up yet. That would be at least a 850 hp gain!
