My name is Cody, and I am from Gadsden, Alabama. Car audio has been a keen interest to me for quite some time. I have done several minor installs, as well as several box building endeavors. The main reason for joining this forum, as well as a couple others, is because I recently got a new car(1998 Mercury Sable). This is the epitome of a DD, so I figured now would be a good time to get a good sounding audio system again. Thus far I have installed JBL 6x8 components in the front, an Autotek AT1500, and a JL 10w3v3-4 in a prefab box. However, the box is **** close to the recommended specs from JL.

Everything sounds ok, infinitely better than stock, but suffers due to being run off the factory HU. I got a cheap Kenwood amp in a deal when I bought a set of Orion Cobalt subs that I plan on installing soon. I plan on eventually running a 3-way active set up, for a rather low price($600) using all new products.

Anyhow, I look forward to becoming an active member of this community.

I admire you not hiding in the shadows after last season, several of my Auburn fans have been awful quite.
