This is my first stereo system hookup(rookie), someone gave me an old sony xplod 1100 watt amp, I read that it puts out about 500 watts RMS, I also have 1 Alpine SWR-1242D Subwoofer 500 watt,

Will this work, please give me some advice, I'm ready to hook this thing up NOW!! Thanks

I need more info on the amp like a model number, or is the amp 1 ohm stable, is it monoblock, etc.
