i believe i understand more than you do. why did sanders quit? why put it out on the line every week when every couple of years the team seemingly takes steps backwards? he didnt need the money and he was getting up there in age..you see how earl campbell gets around now? same reason why tiki barber quit same reason ricky williams didnt want to play. ask any elite running back what the toll on their body is when they get 25-35 carries a game for 10+ seasons. its a sport not war.

doesn't matter how a fan looks at it. for a player to play they have to want to play and they as players know what it does to themselves. I'm not saying what those players did was the right or wrong things to do but i think it is fairly obvious it is the players decision to play. them it is a team's right to take them back
