I've reciently done some of the finishing touches on my sound system, but it took a long time because my last car broke. Now I have a 91 MX-6 (mind you which has a dual din dash and gay ass 5x7's speakers stock) with most of my old stuff, some stuff got sold for new, but I purchased everything I said I was going to. As of yet I have:

Alpine 9815 CD Player

Eclipse AV8022 DVD Player

4AWG throughout (except 12awg nice speaker wire)

Focal 165 K2's Fronts

Focal TN41 Tweeters

JL 5 1/4 Coaxle TR's Rear

JL 10W7 in a ported box

JL 500/1 sub amp

Alpine T420 (110x2 RMS) Front speaker amp

Rears are running off of deck power (60wattsX4)

Rockford 1 Farad Capacitor (distributor)

The only things so far that I want that I've found are a JL 450/4 for the fronts so I can move the alpine to the rear, a gamecube and NES in the trunk, and another W7 if I could (which is unlikely, but I'm probably going to buy the 1000/1 anyways).

This has been a hobby of mine forever, and being the poor guy I am, it has taken a long time. Don't get me wrong I'm pleased, but I would like some suggestions. There isn't that much more to research that I can find.

****. Awsome setup. What u should do is get a 1000 watt amp and put that to ur w7. they take 1000 watts easy. 500 watts isnt as good amount of watts as it should get. I wouldnt get a 1000/1 theyr so expensive not worth it.

Haha.. I'm in the broke catagory also.. It rocks.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ..But I agree to go and get somthing that puts out 1000wts.. Otherwise.. It looks mighty fine.. :thumbs_up

Well I'm only going to buy the 1000/1 when I can afford another 10w7. The only thing I would gain is maybe a db or two at a competition. The decks are being used in unicen now, I can play two cd's at once (only listen to one at a time) but I like alpine more for control and clarity than the eclipse's. The Eclipse's seem a little fragile and the 8022 isn't the controlable. It's strickely for video games and dvd's.

Yeah, these are listed as 3ohms nominal and that is why you see the 2.7ohm rating (where they can drop to). There are a number of things wrong...

i would recommend placing an amplifier on these to serve any justice at all https://www.polkaudio.com/en/product/mm1-series/mm6502...

That is the great thing about Maestro products, they are very thorough. Downside is the price tag.
