at least someone around here knows there music. They had a really horrible recording during that CD though. They had the guitars up a lot louder than the bass. You can't really hear Jasons riffs well.

i've read that that was part of the "hazing" they gave him after taking cliff's spot that went on up until jason left the band, although in other forms, that was the only cd they produced with the bass like that.

Can't go wrong with Slayer, Dave Lombardo is pretty **** fast. The album Christ Illusion has plenty of double bass, but any of em' do.

Believe it or not... Iron Maiden. Nicko McBrain was the fastest drummer out there for a long time. You'll find some nice double bass all over the Number Of The Beast, The Trooper, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son albums.

While Nicko is a great drummer and probably one of my inspirations to start playing, he only plays with a single pedal.He's real quick with that single pedal, but still. There was one song where he did use a double bass, and that's it.

double bass can either be a single pedal with an attatchment that has another head/foot pedal or can be two individual pedals that hit a bass drum.

I like parkway drive, both cd's. but especially horizons.

Dead man's chest - parkway drive. Really good. By far my favorite metal song for subs.

August burns red new cd, Messengers. Up against the ropes, composure, and backburner.

That's just me. Not to much a fan of old "real" metal I guess. I'm young.
