Grand prix Sail Panels Started

Well I got new door panels for the Grand Prix and the sail panels have tiny factory tweets. I am using angled mounts for my Helix tweets. Dont be too critical its my first build.

Its tough because they dont come apart from my door panels. First I cut out old tweeters and grilles

Then I prepped them and mounted angled mounts and stretched T shirt over for fiberglass

Next a layer of fiberglass mat for each one

More to come, Bondo is Next but its been cold

I might just do this for my tweets instead of putting them where I was thinking about, which is in the panel against the front windshield.

They are silk, the way they sit on the doors its perfect angle

First layer of Bondo, they look pretty rough

Much better after second layer and some good sanding

Next a little Glazing putty and high build primer

glazing putty is your FRIEND!!!

Just came inside from sanding a fiberglass center console, and those little pinholes are never ending without glazing putty
