Graduation anxiety

I just finished up school, and have my graduation ceremony tomorrow. I cannot decide if i should be excited, or terrified. Either way, it was the best 5 years of my life.

BTW i will be a certified K-12 PE / Health teacher.

Why would you be terrified or excited? It's a graduation ceremony; it's pretty meaningless.

I say congratulations, and try to enjoy the time. I assume the fear would be from having to walk up in front of a bunch of people to accept your papers, correct? If so, its just 30 seconds of terror, the rest is icing..

For me college graduation was bitter sweet. There were the opportunities, money, and sense of accomplishment, etc. OTOH there is no longer that built in social network that was available in school and you may find the working world and resposnibility is not all its cracked up to be. I found the hardest part was the separation of friends and the severe drop in attractive girls. But congrats either way. You are now part of the elite 30% of this nation.

For my graduation ceremony I was so hung over I fell asleep at the ceremony.

Congrats. I too am graduating with an Associates in Computer Networking. My graduation ceremony is May 11th (Monday). But class is already done. It's a tough job market though, so I may not be going into the field until we see a few more job openings in my area. Congrats on finishing though, it is definitely a great accomplishment. Good luck on the rest of your life man!

The ceremony is not the issue.

Its moving back home after living in party houses for 5 years, crazy mother, money, loans, work, real life stuff. Gotta grow up sometime, as for today, i am heading to the bar.

I missed the structure that school provides so I went back. I am finished again. So in a couple years I will go back again.
